This summer, I joined the LaunchX Program alongside 75 students from 28 different countries — an incredibly diverse and entrepreneurial community united by the goal of building something meaningful from the ground up. Working with teammates from multiple cultural and academic backgrounds, I experienced what it truly means to turn an idea into a viable startup.

Our team’s idea was Priva Seat — a portable seat separator designed for public transport, aimed at providing more comfortable and personalized travel experiences. We positioned it for enterprise clients such as airlines and bus operators seeking to improve customer satisfaction and brand differentiation. Over the course of the program, we developed a 3D product design, business model, and full investor pitch deck.

What made LaunchX stand out was its real-world, hands-on approach to entrepreneurship. We didn’t just discuss ideas — we executed them. I learned practical startup skills such as setting up a Shopify store, purchasing targeted TikTok ads, and negotiating investment terms through SAFE notes. Each workshop and mentor session pushed us to refine our assumptions, validate our product-market fit, and articulate our vision with clarity.

By the end of the program, our team presented Priva Seat at Demo Day — and to our surprise and excitement, we were awarded “Best Pitch.” More than the recognition itself, this moment represented the culmination of weeks of late-night brainstorming, cross-time-zone collaboration, and constant iteration.

LaunchX taught me that innovation isn’t about the size of your idea, but the clarity of your purpose and the resilience of your team. It reminded me that entrepreneurship is, at its core, about empathy — understanding human needs deeply enough to design better experiences for the world.
